In creating disciples, the New Testament authors were intent on bringing about "heart change." Both the "means" and the "end" desire is a heart filled with Faith, Hope, and Love.

Faith must replace its counterpart fear by recognizing the object - the objects of our fear tremble in the presence the object of our faith, that is Christ. (Hebrews 11, Romans 4)
Hope must replace despair by trusting in the promises of Christ's power and deliverance instead of dwelling on the temporal. (Romans 15, 1 Corinthians 15)
Love must replace lust. True love is marked by sacrifice or a giving up to benefit another, but lust is about merely receiving or the desire for personal gratification. (1 Corinthians 13, 1 John)

Love the blog design. You seem to imply that there is a stepped process to sanctification. Of course this may just be more literary in the order than actual in our lives. Do you see these changes as happening all at the same time in our lives or is it more stepped. God Bless,

I understand sanctification to be a process, and while Paul does elevate Love in 1 Corinthians 13, I don't think that necessitates any form of sequential progression. (I change the numbering to bullets, maybe that helps!).

I actually just revised the BLOG design this weekend. Did you prefer the old 3-column "brown" style, or this new 2-column "parchment" style? I'm still playing with a title, so I'd appreciate your feedback.
