Making Disciples: From the "inside looking out" to "outside looking in"

As God makes us more like his son he first develops us internally (Spiritual Disciplines), then develops us in the context of community (Reciprocal Commands), and then develops us as we enter into the lives of others (Community Framework).

• Once we stop resisting God through repentance, we can respond to God's work and will in our lives (Philippians 2:13).  Using the Spiritual Disciplines we can move our hearts into a position of humility in order to open them to receive from God and to give back to God and to others.
  
• The New Testament establishes a list of 25 Reciprocal Commands or actions toward "one another" (i.e. "serve one another" Galatians 5:13).  When we purposefully carry out these commands the community every person naturally desires is created.
• Within this family true, brothers and sisters work together through unconditional love to heal.  Only them will our habits and desires be redeemed for their original purpose within the framework of the human heart as God created it.
